Can you relate to a loss of identity since becoming a mother?
Have you ever used mothering as an excuse to keep you from moving forward or from being fully present?”
Identity in Mothering” speaks to the struggles that many of us moms have with losing our identity after having children. Motherhood is not the sum of our existence, and we’re not simply “just a mom.” No matter our dreams, goals, and hearts’ desire(s), God still sees, knows, hears, and will use us — regardless of where we are in our parenting journey.
In this hallmark message, Angela shares a slice of her testimony and relates this to a biblical story of identity and worth. Whether you’re a new mom or a seasoned veteran, this is a valuable lesson to learn…again and again!
Like a modern-day warrior preparing for battle, we too should gear up and ready ourselves to wage war against the negative influences of our day.
We have a real and present enemy that desires to steal and kill and destroy us (John 10:10) — but we don’t have to be passive participants in this life…we can move forward on the offensive with intentionality and precision.
“My Battle Plan” is a call to action; it gives practical ways to seek the Lord and move forward with purpose and divine guidance. In this feature message, Angela gives fellow warrior raisers useful tools while framing the content with biblical truth and weaving in stories from her own life.
Many of us mommas struggle with worry, fear, or anxiety, and we believe we may be passing our insecurities on to our children. Raising the next generation is stressful, and it’s even more difficult to project confidence for our kids when life seems so uncertain.
While ridding our thoughts of all worry will never be 100% possible — we can still do our part to arm ourselves and our children with ways to combat the worry battle in our minds.
In her message, “Worrier to Warrior,” Angela teaches through a biblical lens, offering her perspective of being a recovering worrier who actively works to apply the strategies she gives in this signature message. Waging war on the “worry battlefield” is a lifelong process, but there are ways we (and our children) can be victorious and not feel helpless in the fight!
Can you think back over your life and recall a specific time when you knew the resistance you were facing was a clear indication that you were advancing in the right direction?
In this message, Angela uses the story of Hannah (found in 1 Samuel) to illustrate the significance and value of resistance in our lives.
No matter the hardship, difficult people, or friction in our life – rather than praying it (or them) away, we should lean into the pain and discomfort and ask God, “What’s the purpose in this pain?” “Who am I becoming?” “What is the lesson in this suffering?” “What is being produced in and through me?” We might just be surprised and end up with a beautiful pearl.
In today’s interconnected world, it’s all too easy to stumble upon content that might ruffle our feathers—whether on TV, social media feeds, or in everyday conversations. However, amidst this sea of potential offenses, lies a powerful truth: we hold the ultimate choice on whether to take offense or not.
Angela, through her teaching, emphasizes that in our shared journey through life, moments of friction are inevitable. However, she reminds us that these instances can serve as opportunities for growth and resilience.
We can choose what affects us. We decide whether to take offense or respond with grace. Let’s be unoffendable!
